Castrol and Honda continue partnership
Blue Wing Honda are pleased to announce that Castrol New Zealand have once again pledged their support to the Castrol Honda Superbike team.
The popular oil brand has been the major sponsor behind Honda’s racing activity in New Zealand for the last 20 years and many of the country’s top motorcycle racers have benefited from their generous support. Castrol is also the preferred oil supplier to many of the Honda road and farm bike Dealers throughout the country.
Martin Wylie, Blue Wing Honda’s Marketing Manager said “In tough financial times such as this it is essential to have the support of loyal sponsors like Castrol. We are very pleased to continue our association with them and the quality products they supply us. Without Castrol’s involvement, we simply could not compete at the level we do”.
Even at this early stage the Castrol Honda team plan to expand from just one rider, Hawera’s Hayden Fitzgerald, to include a second Superbike rider in the form of Christchurch’s Ryan Hampton. There will also be a third member of the team on board a Honda CBR600RR in the highly competitive Supersport class.
