OFFLIMITS popularity grows
More events and bigger numbers for 2012 on the HUGE and spectacular 63,000 hectares of Army land in the Central Plateau around Waiouru.

Off Limits major event is the TUSSOCK BUSTER.
It’s the one we wait for every year and will be held, Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th March 2012.
This year, the organisers are contemplating even more tracks with the inclusion of a further 25,000 acres of land. Mark the date in your riding calendars now.
Last year there were 1500 riders!
Pre-entries will open in December.
BOUNDARY BUSTER is a two day guided ride being held on the weekend 17-18 December 2011. Numbers were limited to 100 riders and support staff and all places were filled within a week according to Dave Greenslade from OFFLIMITS.
The one day BOUNDARY RIDE is being held on Thursday 15 December. This is an invitation only ride for OFFLIMITS helpers, motorcycle industry participants and up to 2 nominated members from each motorcycle club.
If you have not yet received an invitation then go to www.offlimits.co.nz to find out more details. However, this is not a ride open to all.
OFFLIMITS in conjunction with Blue Wing Honda is looking at providing some innovative and exciting new rides at Waiouru Army land in 2012.
These include
- A special two day motorcycle training camp (see separate article in next edition of DRD);
- A Red Horse Safari for quad bikes in April;
- An adventure bike two day ride in winter;
- A special winter based dirt-bike two day event. This will be a big event for about 300 riders and a great chance to do some off roading in the slow off season. This will become an iconic annual event for all levels of trail riders.
The good news is these winter based events will use barrack accommodation so riders can be assured of a hot shower and a good night’s sleep far from the Waiouru winter chill.
