Bel-Ray Congratulates Ben Townley
Townley won all but 1 race on his way to the championship that concluded in his hometown of Taupo, New Zealand on March 18th.

Shortly following his championship, it was announced that Townley would be joining another Bel-Ray backed team for the rest of the 2012 racing season. He will be the lead rider on the TwoTwo Motorsports Bel-Ray racing team, following team owner Chad Reed’s season-ending injury. Townley’s first race under the TwoTwo tent will be in Sacramento, California on May 19th.
Team Bel-Ray Honda was the most successful team in New Zealand motocross during the 2012 season. Backing up Townley’s overall victory in the MX1 class, Justin McDonald and Michael Phillips competed to 4th and 5th place overall finishes respectively. In MX2 action, Peter Broxholme finished 4th overall and Cameron Dillon finished 15th overall.
Townley will now begin preparing for his assault on the AMA National championship series with the hopes of adding a second #1 plate to his 2012 collection.
