Team Honda Racing had a fantastic weekend

'Team Honda Racing win 3 New Zealand Junior Champion 'senior teens' Titles Cameron Dillon won both the 125cc 14-16yrs and 250cc 14-16yrs Junior National Championships on his CR125R and Red Zebra CRF250R9.

Cameron Dillon won both the 125cc 14-16yrs and 250cc 14-16yrs Junior National Championships on his CR125R and Red Zebra CRF250R9. He showed strength and determination around the demanding Taupo track over the 3 days claiming both trophies and walking away with a huge smile on his face; thus looking very happy leading into the Junior World Championships in August at Taupo.

Cameron said "This weekend was a tough one with such a demanding track and having to ride two classes was no easy task but the team gave me some awesome Honda's to be able to bring it home and take both Championships, I was pumped!".

The winning did not stop there with Campbell King taking the 150cc class but not without a fight! After a huge crash in the third race on Saturday Campbell was in some intense pain and took a visit to the hospital that night to check if he had not broken his ankle. After being given the all clear he hobbled in Sunday morning strapped up and set out. Campbell was tied on points going into the final race of the day Sunday with Whakatane's Jacob Heath (CRF150). Campbell managed to hold Jacob off by a couple of bike lengths taking the 150cc Junior Championship title.

Campbell commented "The weekend was pretty tough, the track was rough and I did not make it easy for myself when I crashed but with the help of Team Honda and some heavy strapping I won the Championship.

Shayne King said "What a great weekends racing from the start! Campbell rode an amazing weekend and being unable to really walk on Sunday morning I thought his weekend was over, but he dug deep and showed he is truly a Champion. Cameron was just exceptional he had great speed and was just super fast on the 125 winning all his motos by huge margins and I have to say, the 250 class was a huge challenge for him with it coming down to the final race. A great weekend and I would like to thank the whole Honda Racing Team, the Honda dealer network nationwide, Blue Wing Honda and of course all our great sponsors for their valued support!
